I flew the HQ Crossfire II 4.0m and would recommend it to all experienced kiters to try, it is a very fast, and powerful kite for it's size. I feel it is possibly a little bit above intermediate but not quite race.
It likes to fly on it's breaks so it doesn't shoot out of the window and luft, I could feel that this kite has a good amount of lift also.
The quality of the kite is up there with the best, The canopy is well stitched and nicely finished off, the bridle is quality lines and more colours than a rainbow, flying lines are of good quality, I was impressed with the handles .. padding, feel and ease to distinguish between Left & Right marking. It comes with a well designed compact backpack style bag, just adequate for the kite.
I only had the opportunity to fly this kite a hand full of times and found it quite exhilarating for a 4m kite It pulled me to a PB speed of 69.5k's in moderate winds. It was mainly onshore winds but did notice it had good pulling power upwinds and reeled in most people in front of me with ease.
Overall I would say that this is a good quality, value for money kite. It would be one I would recommend for a person looking for some excitement and great little performer. Well done HQ I'm impressed and if I was in the market for a 4m kite it would be up at the top of the list.
